What Is Digital Scrapbooking?
Digital Scrapbooking Doesn’t Have To Be Hard.
There is another alternative to learning complicated programs such as Adobe Photoshop.
I’ve been teaching digital scrapbooking for four years and I have seen women smile in relief as they realized they could create a digital scrapbooking page with minimal fuss – and they didn’t need a complicated manual to do it. Women are discovering the joys of using their computers to create digital scrapbook pages, finally taking their digital photos from their cameras and creating a truly unique keepsake. Along the way, they also realize they’ve found a great hobby.
Who is the “emerging woman?” She is someone who has already put in her time with diapers and pacifiers. Her children may now be teenagers or, out of the home altogether. Or she may be a woman who is searching for a creative outlet but doesn’t want to take a college-level course to understand a software program.
Digital scrapbooking has quickly become a popular way to incorporate digital photography with design elements. Instead of “paper and paste,” the digital scrapbooker uses a computer and specialized software to create beautiful layouts. With a few installations of photo editing and publishing programs, the avid scrapbooker will find a whole new world as he or she discovers the many options of digital design.
